This online training session is for ECT Induction tutors/leads. Part of an Induction Tutor’s role and responsibility is to lead ECT mentoring in their school and support their colleagues to be the best mentors they can be. This session will support Induction Tutors with this important part of their role.

N.B. This session is not designed for mentors. Training for mentors is provided through your ECT training provider and not your Appropriate Body.

The session will cover:

  • Overview of mentoring entitlements for ECTs
  • Role and responsibilities of the mentor
  • Sharing models of best practice - hear from other school leaders about what is working
  • Advice from local ITTECF programme Lead
  • Ideas for celebrating mentor contributions
