Early Careers Framework (ECF) - Pre-September 2025

From September 2025, early career teachers are entitled to the reformed Early Career Teaching (ECT) package. Please find further information on our ECT webpage.

Pre-September 2025, The Early Career Framework (ECF) entitled all early career teachers (ECTs) to a fully-funded, two-year package of structured training and support linked to the best available research evidence.

Coupled with the ITT Core Content Framework, the ECF established a three-year structured and evidence-informed package of support for all new teachers at the start of their careers. ECTs and Mentors who commenced their training before September 2025 will continue with ECF training programmes in 2025-6. 

UCL ECF Programme

Teach West London works with UCL as its lead partner for the delivery of the 2 year Full Induction Programme covering the Early Career Framework. 

97% of Teach West London Year 1 ECT participants are currently satisfied or very satisfied with the UCL Programme.
