The Teach West London Induction Handbook is intended to provide practical guidance which will help ensure that ECTs receive a high quality programme of monitoring, support and assessment in their induction period.

The handbook also aims to ensure that all ECTs are able to reflect on their practice, and to assist schools, induction Tutors and mentors in giving effective support.

This handbook does not replace DfE Statutory Guidance, which must always be considered as the required document for ECT induction.
