Congratulations to our 111 2025–2026 ITT trainees who were successfully awarded Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) at the end of 2025-26 and are now Early Career Teachers (ECTs), many of whom are employed in West London.

Reaching QTS marked the end of an intensive year of learning, reflection and professional growth. Throughout the programme, our trainees have embraced new challenges, developed their classroom practice and built the confidence to make a real difference to the lives of young people. Their commitment and determination have been inspiring to see!

Across our Primary and Secondary celebration graduation ceremonies in July, trainees, mentors, school colleagues and Teach West London staff came together to recognise the hard work that had taken place over the past academic year. It was an opportunity to celebrate individual achievements and reflect on memorable moments during the training year.

Every trainee's journey has been unique. Some discovered strengths they never knew they had, while others overcame significant challenges to reach this milestone. Together, they have formed a community that supported one another through lesson planning, placement experiences, assignments and the everyday highs and lows of learning to teach.

As part of the graduation ceremonies, trainees took part in our Letters to Your Future Self tradition, writing messages to encourage and motivate themselves to receive later this year during their ECTs year.

The celebrations also included our trainee-voted awards, recognising the personalities and qualities that have made the cohort so memorable. Alongside some fun categories that prompted plenty of laughter, we presented awards celebrating resilience, professionalism, collaboration and outstanding progress throughout the year.

As our Class of 2026 move into schools as qualified teachers, we know they will continue to learn, grow and positively influence the pupils and communities they serve. We are incredibly proud to have been part of their journey and wish them every success as they begin this exciting new chapter.
